Irem Kurt is a Berlin-based illustrator, comic artist and artivist with a background in Communication Design and Digital Media (Video) from the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt. She also spent a semester at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest and University Lusófona in Lisbon.

In 2020, Irem co-founded the OUSA Collective , a platform that brings together illustration with social change. Over the course of four years, they organized workshops, events, and artist collaborations to create space for B*IPoC and migrant illustrators, empowering marginalized communities in Germany both online and offline. Their initiatives provided participants with valuable tools for creative resistance and self-expression. (archive / 2020-24’)

Irem's artwork explores a diverse range of themes, including feminism, migration, social justice, and digital futures. Known for her vibrant color palettes and playful, quirky style, she tackles both lighthearted and serious topics, infusing them with humor while encouraging deeper reflection. Her art invites viewers to engage with complex issues in a thoughtful and approachable way.

When she's not creating artwork for a diverse range of clients, she enjoys developing creative workshop concepts for all ages, using art as a powerful tool to empower participants and address social issues.
